Chris Hancock

Chris has over fifteen years experience creating and developing new medical device IP focused on the use of microwave and RF energy for therapeutic applications. In 2002 he founded MicroOncology Ltd (renamed Creo Medical Ltd in 2009) to develop his ideas relating to new cancer treatment systems using state of the art semiconductor device technology to generate high frequency microwave and millimetre wave energy, and novel energy delivery and measurement techniques to identify and controllably ablate cancerous tissue. He is currently the CTO and founder of Creo Medical Ltd and holds a personal Chair in the Medical Microwave Systems Research Group at Bangor University. Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, a Chartered Physicist , Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, a Chartered Engineer and a Senior Member of the IEEE. He is a named inventor and lead author on over 100 patents/patent applications and journal publications.

Clive Buckberry

Clive was part of the founding team that initially developed the concept of Quanta’s SC+ system and obtained initial venture funding. Previously, Clive worked for the BMW group with responsibility for the vehicle physics department. In 2001, he became an honorary professor within the Department of Engineering and Physics at Heriot-Watt University and in 2011 was elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the Institute of Physics. Eric is the CTO of Brainomix. He received his 1st class M.Eng.in Engineering from Cambridge University, and has worked on a wide variety of computer vision projects. These include video processing and 3D graphics algorithms, real-time data capture software, parallel grid computing systems, and data visualization. Adrien Desjardins
CTO of Echopoint Medical
Adrien has a PhD from Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). in Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics with a specific focus on cardiovascular devices, fibre optic sensing, and optical coherence tomography. After his PhD, he led technical developments in an internal venture at Philips Research (Netherlands) to develop devices with integrated optical sensors and brought this technology from benchtop prototypes to in vivo human studies. In addition to his responsibilities at Echopoint Medical, he is a Full Professor at UCL where he leads the interventional devices group with a vision to develop novel methods for performing physiological measurements and imaging with minimally invasive devices.
