Paul Randle is a digital specialist with 20 years experience across organisations such as Microsoft, Philips, Omnicom and AkzoNobel. His passion for technology saw him lead marketing at numerous tech start-ups during the first .com boom, prior to joining Microsoft where he spent seven years. Initially managing the Windows Server business in the UK he moved to the Windows XP team and Australia where he launched Windows Vista. A key company spokesperson he was on call when the Blaster Virus hit, a period that lead to Paul becoming the second most quoted Microsoft person after Bill Gates. Landing back in the UK, he took up the challenge of integrating digital marketing into Philips and the Omnicom agency network, prior to becoming the first Director of Digital for AkzoNobel. Inheriting over 750 websites, Paul drove the implementation of a strategy that turned digital into a strategic asset for the business. Championing the use of new ways of working and hybrid multi-function teams, Paul is passionate about the new capabilities and behaviours demanded of the marketing function, and the broader organisation, in the digital world. Scott is the skipper of the Glownet crew. The leader and visionary, he is passionate for good design and innovation. You rarely get to see much of Scott sitting down. His time is split between Madrid, London, and sleeping on airplanes. A family man, with two vibrant young daughters. Soon after graduating with an MBA from IE Business School in 2003, he shortly became a serial entrepreneur. Just prior to Glownet, Scott was the Festival Director/CEO of Rhythm Group. Rhythm is the producer to New Zealand’s premier music festivals including the 30,000 capacity Rhythm and Vines now in its 12th year. Scott always makes time to mentor business students and support them with their own plans and ambitions. Scott was never cured after being infected by electronic music back in rave scene of the early 90’s. He loves working in the live event industry. He seems to feed off the adrenaline of the show. To him, it’s all about the people you work with.
