Dale joined LDC in 2012 following six years at Deloitte within the Corporate Finance team working both in the North East and London. He has strong experience in both originating and executing transactions including management buyouts, corporate sales and acquisitions, and distressed refinancing across a range of sectors and investment size. He has also provided strategic advice relating to long-term growth plans, acquisition strategy and stakeholder management to a number of large corporate clients in the region. Dale was involved in the recent investment in NRS which is his first board position within the LDC portfolio. Prior to joining Deloitte, Dale began his career at Ernst & Young in 2001, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Jane Gilbert
Investment Director of LDC
Jane joined LDC in Sept 2012 from Permira, where she spent 4 years as an investment executive in the London office. Whilst at Permira, Jane’s experience involved leveraged buy-out investments, value creation strategy development, portfolio management, debt restructurings and exit processes; across a wide range of sectors, but with a greater emphasis on healthcare. Prior to Permira, Jane worked in the investment banking division of Lehman Brothers, originally within UK mergers & acquisitions and latterly in the healthcare investment banking team. Jane has a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, specialising in pharmacology from Christ’s College, Cambridge.

Vivien Badaut
Director and founder of DRIAD
Born in France and raised in the suburbs of Paris, Vivien studied chemistry at the University Paris XI, graduating with an MSc in Nuclear Chemistry in 2006. He then joined the French Nuclear Agency (CEA) as a postgraduate researcher and obtained a PhD in Chemistry on the topic of nuclear waste storage in 2010. Vivien then joined the RIKEN research institute in Tokyo (Japan) as a postdoctoral researcher working on quantum modelling until 2012; he was also President of the French-speaking Association of Researchers in Japan, Sciencescope. In 2013, back in France, he started working with startups as a technical expert advising on innovation projects. He subsequently moved to the UK, where he founded up DRIAD in June 2014.
