Harry Phinda, 18, from London has been involved with UNICEF UK since 2009. Harry is currently one of two Youth Advisors to the Board of Trustees, a role where young people actively take part in the governance issues of UNICEF UK. Isobel Trout
Board Member of Unicef UK
Isobel, 18, joined the Board of Trustees in October 2014 as one of two Youth Advisers, a role where young people actively take part in the governance issues of UNICEF UK. Isobel has a keen interest in youth politics, having been elected to the Bristol City Youth Council in February 2013, and subsequently elected as one Bristol’s first two Youth Mayors for 2013-2014. Within this role, Isobel supported many local events and campaigns, working with the Mayor George Ferguson to define the roles and responsibilities of the position in its first year. Together, they produced a report including recommendations for the government based on their findings. Isobel is also a deputy member of the UK Youth Parliament, and this year has campaigned for votes at 16 and continued the Youth Parliament’s ongoing campaign for the Curriculum for Life at a grassroots level. Isobel is in her last year of sixth form, with ambitions to study medicine at university in 2016 after taking a gap year during which she hopes to further her involvement with UNICEF.
