Neil Cook
VP of Security Product of Open-Xchange
As Chief Technology Officer, Neil Cook is responsible for Cloudmark’s technical strategy and roadmap and oversees Cloudmark’s Product Management, Technology Services and Sales Engineering teams. Neil Cook has more than 20 year’s experience in Mobile and Internet messaging and security, designing scalable and secure solutions for telecommunications companies globally. He has a particular experience and interest in the security issues facing the convergence of Internet and Mobile technologies and applications. He has been at Cloudmark for over six years, where he led the EMEA Technology Services team, led some of the company’s largest deployments and was an integral part of the company’s research and design activities before becoming CTO in 2012. Prior to Cloudmark, Neil was at Openwave (previously Software.com), where he was instrumental in bringing new mobile and messaging solutions to market, including one of the first picture-messaging deployments at JPhone, and the first telco-scale IP Voicemail deployment for Telecom Italia. In the past, Neil has also developed large-scale cryptographically-secure messaging and directory systems for governments and the US military. Neil has a BSc and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham, and is the author of several IETF RFCs for mobile messaging and streaming.
