Rudy Markham is a Member of the Board of Directors at UPS since November 2007. Rudy retired as the Chief Financial Officer of Unilever in 2007 after 39 years. Rudy joined the company in 1968 as a Commercial Management Trainee and spent most of his early career in the finance function of various Unilever companies in Europe before being appointed financial director of Unilever in Zurich. Rudy returned to Rotterdam as Head of the Finance Department and became group Treasurer of Unilever in 1986. From 1989 to 1998, Rudy was based in Unilever’s East Asia Pacific Region and directed operations in Australia and New Zealand, then Japan and then China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Rudy joined the Board of Unilever as Strategy and Technology Director and became a Member of its Executive Committee in May 1998. In May 2007, Rudy retired from Unilever’s Board and on Oct. 31, 2007, he retired as Chief Financial Officer. I soon moved into transport duties and was the first distance HGV 1 driver for Bandvulc. Known for my ‘unique conversational skills’ helped secure my smooth progression into the sales team, where I’ve enjoyed success as a member of a small, enthusiastic and confident team of salespeople, responsible for building up much of the core customer base Bandvulc holds onto today. I’m very proud to be part of this fantastic team effort, witnessing first-hand the continued investment and support of the Bandvulc directors to improve their product, and the enthusiasm of truly dedicated workforce supporting that objective.

I joined the company in 1998, having previously worked for a local firm of accountants and auditors in Plymouth. I joined Bandvulc as a management accountant overseeing the day to day running of the accounts office. I was part of the original team that was instrumental in setting up the present tyre management division, BV Plus+, and now I oversee the entire finance function of the Bandvulc Group as Group Finance Director.
