Tell us about yourself?

I’ve spent a significant part of my career in advertising, dedicating three years at eBay. My role there centred around collaborating with UK media agencies. This experience ingrained in me the significance of branding and the power of customer advocacy.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

I’d emphasise the importance of launching a product to the market swiftly, even if it’s not perfect. In the initial phases of a startup, understanding customer needs is paramount. So, don’t get bogged down aiming for a polished product right out of the gate. Launch, gather feedback, innovate, and repeat.

What problem does your business solve?

At its core, ttagz addresses the challenge of UGC creation. For years, businesses have grappled with eliciting UGC from their customers. This is primarily because customers often hesitate to produce content, and even if they do, legal constraints often prevent businesses from utilising it. Moreover, brands have had no control over the content’s nature.

ttagz offers brands a tool that seamlessly integrates into their product, providing a framework that encourages customers to capture and share UGC. Our AI-driven verification ensures content aligns with the brand’s specified criteria.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

We recognised the fervent desire of businesses to authentically connect with their audiences. However, the challenges surrounding UGC often acted as barriers. This led us to ponder, “What if we could merge AI with UGC to devise an intuitive UGC tool?” Thus, ttagz was conceived.

What is your magic sauce?

Our secret ingredient is our cutting-edge AI. Brands can select from over 50 pre-set labels that the AI will look for in the images. For instance, a flower delivery service might opt for ‘bouquet’, or a pizzeria might choose ‘pizza’. As long as the image contains the selected object, it gains approval. This empowers businesses to have a say in the content their customers create, alleviating concerns about brand consistency or inappropriate content.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Our vision encompasses expanding our tech globally and incorporating more sophisticated imaging tools into our product. Without revealing too much, our ultimate goal is to develop a tool that becomes the go-to for brands’ content marketing needs.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

One of the most significant hurdles with ttagz is its pioneering nature in the market. This necessitates a substantial educational effort on our part. While most new technologies in established markets need to highlight their unique selling points, we find ourselves in a unique position. We genuinely believe we don’t have direct competitors in this space. Hence, our challenge lies in educating potential customers about the tech’s utility and the advantages of the ttagz UGC tool.
