Tell us about yourself?
I feel into the industry after University and a spectacular failure in my endeavors to be a professional football player and I have stayed ever since, I love the customers, the brands and the pace of the environment in which we operate.
I have previously been a Sales Director and following the previous business administrations I believed we could create something exciting and relevant for our customers
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Be brave, be strong and be decisive. My previous role was working within a private equity company, with many stakeholders who lacked the industry experience, I was to passive in watching others make big decisions that affected the business
What problem does your business solve?
We Create innovative retail spaces that deliver exciting spaces for brands and retailers. We are solving the problem of boring and tired physical retail.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
Heritage, The customer base and the highly creative/skillful brains of the people who were let down by other business.
What is your magic sauce?
We have a set of people centric values that we are proud to stand behind, we trust, invest and empower the team and in return we get honesty, innovation and teamwork.
We are striving in the pursuit of perfection with an understanding that we will never get there, but we will be better everyday for the effort.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
Year one was about stability and consolidation.
We couldn’t afford to not generate cash early in our incarnation, the next few years is about sustainable growth. Growth at the top line and bottom, personal growth for our employees and growth for our customers in terms of our offerings.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Onboarding into global brands and the time it takes, The desire from the people has always been there but global brands will automatically want three years trading history and credit reports.
As a new business we have had to convince them that as a new business we are worth them going out of process to have us as a supplier.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
We want to work with ambitious brands and retailers who are keen to pushing the limits of retail exactions, regardless of their size. I am contactable at info@kesslers.com
