I am a Biologist originally working in medical devices and Human Applied Genetics. I have been working in the diagnostic industry and digital health.
My passion is animals, and this company is to revolutionise and innovate in the field of pet tech, using all my knowledge to empower the genetics of your pet to build a better life every day for your pet.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Keep growing, keep learning and never stop creating.
What problem does your business solve?
Pets tend not to bother their owners and stay with the pain and illnesses until they can´t hold it anymore. As they cant talk having the information before and not waiting until the visit to the veterinarian allows us to have a proactive plan and be aware of the symptoms we can monitor.
We will avoid pain for our pets. Our solution is accurate scientifically as it uses 100% of the DNA; our analysis can predict symptoms accurately and select the right treatments.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
I am a dog owner, I wanted to see what diseases I could avoid in my dog. Checking her information, I was able to make a step-by-step health plan to act on her health proactively
It started to be in chihuahuas, and later people asked about other breeds and it became a very inspired business.
What is your magic sauce?
We use 100% of the DNA, unlike competitors that use only 0.2% of the DNA. With a complete picture, we can innovate and learn. Our proprietary algorithms analysis is an upgrade to our human applied genetics as Dogs for example, have more chromosomes than humans.
Our dogs have more information in their genes than humans. We are the only company with human experience in the world.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
We want to have tested 1,000,000 pets in the next 5 years. Our vision is that data will help us to address public health problems like obesity, glaucomas and intervene for example before any cardiac growth problem.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Financing, there is very few funds dedicated to pets. There is fewer funds dedicated to women in STEM. We are changing the world and we looking the best support.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
We want to first reach to all pet owners, this is the opportunity to do the best for the health of your pet. We also want to approach any person that works with and helps pets like veterinarians, this is the best scientific tool in the market to help you to look after your patients and customers.
I also want to reach to the community of investors, angels, we are a global company with a big hearty mission and we need money to continue with our technology changing lives and without their help and support will take longer.
