Hi I’m Lakhtar, Head of Operations & Co Founder of Trekco Ltd, I’ve been working within the food and drink sector for over 20 years, having extensive knowledge and studied in the Nutritionist and Health area my passion and reason was to develop natural food and drink products that would be healthy for consumers not only as a meal but also improving their lifestyle and health.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
if I had the chance I would definitely read more and learn more about sustainable agriculture farming, having this knowledge earlier would of given me more options in developing sustainable products.
What problem does your business solve?
Our business we develop products that are natural, healthy and with medicinal values, by doing this we give consumer a healthy options.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
Being a diabetic patience for over 10 years and managing to reverse the disease purely by eating and adapting to a more healthier lifestyle, what we’re trying to voice out and to educate consumers, is by choosing to buy and eat more natural food and drink products you are potentially preventing from developing common diseases relating to Bad diets.
What is your magic sauce?
Our magic sauce is producing our products natural way and not using any unethical processes like so many other companies, we also do are upmost in keeping our products affordable for all consumers to experience them.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
Our future plans for the coming years is to carry on developing natural products and to partner more agriculture farmers that adapt to more traditional way of producing their crops, we want to be the leading company in the market that cares how we produce our products.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
The biggest challenge we faced early on in our business was getting across our message to consumers that by choosing our medicinal honeys they are potentially improving their health, so what we did is to develop brochures that gives vital knowledge and information to consumers, by selecting different types of honeys you can potentially treat your health problems.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
What we like is to work with natural food and drink suppliers, that distribute to natural and organic shops, online natural food platforms and chemists. we are building a leading brand that consumers will associate with eating healthy.
