Rowena joined 3i in 2007 and is an Associate Director in the Private Equity team. Rowena focuses on origination and execution of investments in the UK and leads 3i’s activity in the UK Healthcare sector. Deals she has worked on include 3i’s minority investment in Phibro, the sale of Unirea to Advent International, and further investments in Hobbs and MDY Healthcare. Previously, she has undertaken internships in Healthcare venture capital at Scottish Equity Partners and for boutique funds management group Quest Asset Partners, Sydney. Rowena has a B. George joined 3i’s Banking Team as a Director in July 2011. The Banking Team is responsible for the firm’s relationship with its financing institutions and provides specialist in-house debt financing advice and support to the private equity activities of 3i and its portfolio companies. George has worked on financing transactions for many of 3i’s portfolio companies, including Action, Basic Fit, Element, Eltel, ESG, Lekolar and OneMed. He has 19 years of banking experience, having started his career with Barclays Bank in 1994. George subsequently worked for Barclays Capital (1997-2000), Bank of America (2000-2003) and The Royal Bank of Scotland (2003-2011). Over the bulk of this period, he specialised in the origination, structuring and execution of European leveraged debt transactions in a lead capacity. George has also held positions in leveraged loan syndications and in corporate restructuring. George holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry from Imperial College (University of London), a BSc (Hons) degree in Financial Services from UMIST and a MSc degree in Operational Research from Strathclyde University.

Phiroz is also a Director on the Board of TCS, the global leader in IT services, consulting and business solutions and part of the senior leadership team. With over 25 years of consulting and leadership experience with TCS, including as an executive director of the company since 2007, Phiroz had been involved with TCS’ foray into the life & pensions industry from the outset. He has overseen the transformation of Diligenta as the company offers new, effective solutions for the life & pensions industry using the TCS BaNCS platform. Prior to taking the leadership role at Diligenta, Phiroz was the Executive Director and Head, Global Corporate Affairs at TCS and played a prominent part in many industry initiatives as a former chairman and executive council member of the National Association of Software Companies (Nasscom), India’s apex IT industry body. In the banking & financial services sector, Phiroz has been part of numerous expert committees constituted by the Reserve Bank of India to guide the central bank in its policy-making efforts as well as IT advisory bodies in India and on the board of several prominent educational institutions. He is also the Director of Punj Lloyd Ltd. and a member of the firm’s audit committee. He is also Director of Jubilant FoodWorks Limited. Phiroz was the Co-Chair of the Indo-British Partnership (IBP) for over five years and is a board member of the Indo-British Partnership Network. Phiroz graduated from Calcutta and is a qualified chartered accountant. He worked with consumer goods firm ITC Ltd. for three years before joining TCS in 1982. In 1989, he set up Tandem Corporation’s operations in India before rejoining TCS in 1992. He has played many roles in all these years at TCS. He was born in Calcutta in December 1953 and currently lives in London with his wife Shashi

Jane Gizbert joined NICE in 2008 and is responsible for the delivery of the institute’s strategic communications programme. Jane graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Canada with an BA Honours degree in Political Science. She subsequently obtained an MA in this field from Carleton University in Ottawa and went on to undertake a graduate journalism programme at the same university. Immediately before joining NICE, Jane was head of corporate communications at the Medical Research Council, the UK’s largest publicly funded medical research organisation. Her remit covered the full spectrum of corporate communications, from strategic development, public involvement and consultation, to media relations and brand management. Jane has worked extensively in the political field in Canada, including as Press secretary for the official opposition and former prime minister of Canada, and as Director of communications, Canadian Federation of Labour.
