Peter Lord is the co-founder and CEO of Codat with a technical background and previous experience in fintech. After graduating from Southampton University with a degree in Computer Science, Peter joined Credit Suisse as a software engineer but quickly became frustrated with the speed of development. Wanting to experience working in a start-up, he joined MarketInvoice and was tasked with building an integration to accounting software Xero, experience that would later spark the idea for Codat. Through his personal experiences as software engineer, and later as a product owner, Peter is passionate that Codat’s focus is on creating a simple API that powers clients’ solutions to real problems faced by small businesses.

Max Williams
Co-Founder & CEO of Pusher
Max has spent the past 5 years running the London-based Ruby on Rails development shop New Bamboo, with his co-founder [Damien Tanner](http://crunchbase.com/person/damien-tanner). Their latest company is a realtime messaging service called Pusher (http://pusherapp.com), which was incubated inside New Bamboo. Prior to Kaltura, Dr. David co-founded Destinator Technologies, a leader in mobile-GPS-navigation software, and consulted on open systems to Fortune 500 companies like Toyota. He lives in London with his wife and two daughters, and in his spare time enjoys yoga and angel investing. Dr. David’s academic expertise is collaborative and open-source information and communication systems. He earned his B.Sc. (magna cum laude) at Tel-Aviv Univesity with a double-major in Computer Science and Philosophy, his interdisciplinary M.A. at New York University on the economics of open systems, and his Ph.D. in Arts and Science from Cornell University on the topic of participatory information networks. He pursued his post-doctoral work on the issue of Access to Knowledge at the Yale Law School Information Society Project, where he is a visiting fellow.

He was previously an M&A lawyer in the technology sector, in addition to roles at PayPal Europe in Paris and VC fund Index Ventures in London. Ed Maslaveckas is the co-founder of Bud, the financial network that connects customers, services providers and banks in on experience. A lithuanian last name and Scottish routes, he grew up in Harrogate with Bud’s other Co-Founder, George. He is an economics graduate and discovered the potential of fintech whilst working at Salesforce in 2014. He was working between London and Ireland and noticed, while there was many new financial service products, there was no effective way to help people find new services that could benefit their lives. Over a few months in the summer of 2015 he sat with George developing the first version of Bud on a couch in Hackney. Since then, Bud has grown to more than thirty people and are servicing some of the largest banks in the world – such as HSBC. They are still in hackney. As well as winning innovation awards, marketing effectiveness awards and being recognised as leading one of the most exciting small businesses globally, Ed has pioneered a new operating model in the company, introducing a totally flat hierarchy. “We wanted to empower everyone to make the decisions that push the company forward. We have moved forward quickly as a business and we are hiring the most talented people in every sector, it makes sense to let them make the decisions.” Bud has raised upwards of £1.7m and has been invested in by banks: Invested and Banco Sabadell. HSBC, first direct and Bud have recently launched a new app, artha by first direct. Bud has been regulated by the FCA to operate its marketplace services and is one of only three companies in the UK to carry dual open banking permissions.
