Its a goal of lofty ambitions, but that’s never been a problem for Faiz. He’s a well-established entrepreneur with a long track record of success. He’s the CEO of the Honeynet Project, a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to Honeynet research, and the is president of PAKCON, a non-profit organization which organizes yearly cyber security conventions in Pakistan. Faiz was the Senior Information Security Consultant for Pakistan’s largest ISP, Cyber Internet Services (Pvt.) Ltd., and single-handedly designed and managed their information security initiatives. Because of his impressive reputation, the US NSA (National Security Agency), US DoD (Department of Defense), IEEP (Institution of Electronic Engineers, Pakistan), have all engaged him for sharing his expertise at various conferences. Of course, these feats couldn’t be pulled off without an extensive education and dedication to learning. Faiz earned his Computer Science degree from the University of Karachi, and multiple certifications, including GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP). Even with all of that under his belt, Faiz says that he’s only just getting started. He has big plans for SIRP, and for the information security industry as a whole. Thanks to his powerful drive and vision, clients will be able to take advantage of a whole host of innovations coming our way.
