Meet co-founders of MT Finance Tomer Aboody and Joshua Elash. MT Finance is a property finance company that launched in 2008, which has since risen to become an industry leader in bringing finance.
MT Finance helps both individuals and companies to purchase property and grow their business, all while avoiding the annoyances of mortgage delays and traditional property chains.
What Is Bridging Finance?
Bridging finance is a type of specialist finance that helps investors and developers complete properties within tight deadlines. With bridging finance, customers can receive funds upfront – often available in just four weeks – repaying this back upon another property sale.
About the Co-Founders
Both co-founders are big sports fans, Aboody being a passionate footballer in his spare time, while their Holborn office is decorated with sports memorabilia (including Maradona and Pele signed shirts).
Before setting up MT Finance, Tomer Aboody worked in property investments. Aboody realised a gap MT Finance could fill in the market for people wanting finance, realising that not enough money was being lent by traditional banks.
Joshua Elash worked in New York as an attorney, and also worked for a couple of years in Paris at a big European real estate investment fund. Elash then moved into bridging finance during 2008.
Since founding the company, MT Finance has grown to a team of over 40, now based in Holborn, London. The property finance company has been recognised with numerous awards, including Best Short Term Lender 2019 from Financial Reporter and Mortgage Strategy, and The Business MoneyFacts Best Service 2019.
In 2019, MT Finance raised £50m of senior funding from Insight Investment-managed funds, in addition to mezzanine funding (fund manager unnamed).
