3D Visualisation forms a crucial part of the design, construction, and management of the world around us by conveying ideas, designs and finished products to stakeholders and customers.
Whilst the technology brings proven benefits, it requires a substantial financial investment and hundreds of man-hours to deliver and maintain, posing a major barrier to entry for many people and organisations. Ultimately, this leads to reduced profit margins, wasted time and final designs of spaces and places that fail to meet the needs of end users.
Amutri dramatically lowers the entry point to 3D Visualisation through an automated, cost-effective, and easy to adopt software product, enabling more people and organisations to adopt and benefit from the technology.
Ultimately, Amutri reduces the turnaround time of visualisation from days or weeks to seconds, and places the technology directly into the hands of users with no prior experience of 3D Visualisation necessary.
Amutri empowers people to create 3D Visualisations, in seconds.
Tell us about yourself?
I’ve spent 16 years building advanced 3D Visualisation and Simulation capabilities across industries including architectural design, aviation, manufacturing, retail, automotive, and Formula One motorsport. In doing so, I’ve seen first-hand the power of such technologies, whilst at the same time, the challenges that people and organisations face in accessing them. These challenges include the significant investment of time and money required to adopt such technologies as well as the turnaround time of 3D content.
My previous startup was established to bring people together using immersive technologies to support, educate and inform the design process, leading to well-considered spaces, places, products, and services that work for everyone in society. Whilst this startup brought some success and positive impact, it was ultimately hampered by our customer’s difficulties in adopting 3D Visualisation.
Taking the learnings from my previous product-led and service-led startups, combined with industry experience, I have decided to build a product that dramatically lowers the entry point to 3D Visualisation, enabling more people and organisations to adopt and benefit from the technology. I believe in doing so, I’m able to play a part in improving the design of the world around us, whilst improving the processes that underpin not only the design, but the entire lifecycle of spaces, places, products, and services.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
I would tell myself to take more time to spend in some quality time, whether this is catching up with family and friends, or unwinding in front of the television!
What problem does your business solve?
Amutri dramatically lowers the entry-point to 3D Visualisation, empowering everyone to create 3d content, in seconds.
This is completed through an automated, cost-effective, and easy to adopt software product, which enables more people and organisations to adopt and benefit from the technology.
Regardless of whether you’re a large architectural firm, or independent design student, the current 3D Visualisation process is time-consuming, requires specific design experience, and is often associated with a hefty price tag.
Ultimately, Amutri reduces the turnaround time of visualisation from days or weeks to seconds, and places the technology directly into the hands of users with no prior experience of 3D Visualisation necessary.

What is your magic sauce?
We’re aiming to be the first to market in Q4 2022.
Our broader vision is to empower everyone to create 3D Visualisations, in seconds. In time, Amutri will be accessible to both technical, and non-technical users.
We’re automating a process which is currently time-consuming, costly, and requires specialist skills. Amutri is faster, more cost-effective, and easy to use.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
The next 5 years can be broken down in many ways, but in a big picture sense, our mission is to democratise 3D Visualisation software to enable non-technical users to reap the benefits of such a game-changing technology.
We’re aiming to launch and be first to market in Q4 2022, and to rapidly grow our sales by 2x in 2023 and 4x in 2024. Our ambition is to dominate the market for real-time 3D Visualisation within AEC by 2026.
The next 12 months are heavily focused on building our MVP, and continually improving our product, based on a strong focus on user-centred design. It’s vital to us that our product solves real-world problems, and features are developed based on genuine need – not assumption.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
The main challenges we have faced, much like many early-stage startups, are primarily around financing. We are currently overcoming these issues, through careful and well-considered planning around fundraising and product development.
We have also had a challenging recruitment journey; finding the right team members with specialist skill sets has taken longer than we had anticipated and delayed a couple of our development milestones. Learning to adapt has been integral for us!
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
There are a variety of different ways for people to get involved with Amutri.
We’ve just released our first micro-product; a free, simple-to-use online CAD & BIM conversion tool. Our tool speeds up the process of converting CAD and BIM files into 3D modeling software formats, ready for 3D Visualisation.
We’d love feedback on this tool, and our broader Amutri vision, too!
Give it a try here: www.amutri.com
This tool is a small piece of the full Amutri puzzle; next up for us is the launch of our MVP of Amutri. We’ve built a strong bank of early adopters to test and feedback on the product, but the more the merrier!
