In addition he is responsible for the engineering programme management of specific motorsport and industrial projects conducted by the Group. In the past James has worked within Williams Advanced Engineering, the commercial diversified business arm of Williams, identifying and developing relationships with clients to deliver technical and operational consulting projects. James was also the project manager on a specialist motorsport project for an automotive OEM covering operational delivery of design and manufactured parts as well as commercial management. Previously to joining Williams James worked for a global management consultancy OC&C Strategy Consultants, providing advisory services across the technology, industrial and FMCG sectors. John Yates

John Yates has worked for over 30 years in the commercial satellite industry. After having completed a BSc(Hons) in Electrical Engineering and Electronics at the University of Nottingham and a post-graduate Diploma in Business Administration at Manchester Business School, in 1986 he joined Europe’s first commercial satellite operator, the recently incorporated SES Astra, in Luxembourg and has been immersed in the sector ever since. He co-founded Helix Technologies in 2016 with Dr. Oliver Leisten, the investor of the dielectric-loaded antenna, and is keen to work with Tier 1 Systems Integrators to bring this high-performance technology to market.
