Stephen Roberts

Stephen Roberts is the Royal Academy of Engineering / Man Group Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Oxford. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Statistical Society, the Institute of Physics and the Alan Turing Institute. Stephen is Director of the Oxford-Man Institute of Quantitative Finance and founding-Director of the Oxford Centre for Doctoral Training in Autonomous Intelligent Machines and Systems (AIMS). He has published widely, having some 350 publications which have accrued over 20,000 citations. Stephen’s interests lie in methods for machine learning, data analysis & AI in complex problems, especially those in which noise and uncertainty abound. Mike Osborne is the Dyson Associate Professor in Machine Learning at the University of Oxford.
