John Bryant was named Options CTO in November 2012 having first joined the company in mid-2008 as Head of Technology for Europe, where he oversaw the development of the European Momentum and Velocity low-latency market data product portfolios in addition to managing the company’s European data centre expansion program. John has a wealth of experience in capital markets technologies including trading, market data, data applications and straight-through processing. He holds a joint bachelor’s degree in French and Spanish from Liverpool University, holds a certification from the ITIL Foundation, and is a Prince II Practitioner.

Lee James is responsible for helping Rackspace’s customers maximise their cloud investments across people, process and technology, as well developing new products and services. As the Chief Technical Officer EMEA Lee’s experienced in developing and delivering industry-leading cloud, analytics and SAP services for global organisations. He’s also previously been awarded for innovation after building BP’s first multi-cloud platform. In a prior role at Betfair, Lee was responsible delivering a DevOps-driven platform that performed more transactions than all the European stock markets each day. He particularly enjoys leading on global cloud transformations, advanced analytics platforms and cloud-inspired organisational transformation which delivers significant business value to customers.

Julian Polzella
Founder & CTO of Shopwave
Julian founded Shopwave following the acquisition of his startup VouChaCha, which built multi-platform, location-based, scalable, API-driven architectures for top 200 UK retailers & enterprise clients such as Orange & Lastminute.com. VouChaCha was acquired as part of Markcomedia in a £55 million deal by Monitise PLC. Julian is an Entrepreneurial Spirit Award Winner and holds a first class honours degree in Computing Sciences. He developed expertise in economic, trading, social, reinforcement & machine learning AI technology at Palantir and at university.

Alex brings twenty years experience designing software solutions in the enterprise, start-up, and academic sectors. Alex was with Enigmatec Corporation where he led the development of what is now the Monterey® Middleware Platform™. He founded PocketWatch Systems, commercialising results from his doctoral research. Alex holds a PhD (Informatics) and an MSc (Cognitive Science) from the University of Edinburgh and an AB (Mathematics) from Princeton University.
