Tell us about yourself?
I’m Younes Ghouini Co-Founder and CEO of Takeover Interactive. I have worked in the tech industry for the most part of my professional life. My passion lies in technology, gaming and entrepreneurship all of which helped co-found Takeover Interactive.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
I would tell myself to keep going on. I would also emphasise on investing in myself, as the best investment one can make is in themselves. Whether it is picking up new skills or improving wellbeing, it all counts towards personal development.
Stay consistent and dedicated, the opportunities will come. Don’t wait until you are ready to start that day will never come, just get started.
What problem does your business solve?
We help relieve the phenomenon that is boredom. We are able to reach customers all over the world thanks to the distribution platforms available today.
As long as we entertain, engage players through our games and put a smile on their faces we have fulfilled our purpose.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
I have always been passionate about gaming and technology as a whole. So for me it’s easy, I am just following my passion. What’s also an added bonus is that my business partner also shares the same passion and love for gaming. So starting Takeover Interactive was something that just came naturally to us.
What is your magic sauce?
Our approach is very data driven, with the help of our partners we have access to vast resources that aid in our development and keeping up with the latest trends. Which proves pivotal in an industry that is constantly scaling.
We work very closely with one of the world’s leading game publisher in the mobile industry (Voodoo) who have and continue to guide us in realising our full potential.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
We hope to become an industry leader in not only developing the very best mobile games but leading the way through innovative gameplay mechanics and design.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
In an ever evolving industry sometimes it can prove overwhelming and challenging to keep up with everything.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
It’s pretty simple, when you are bored or looking for a new form of entertainment just pick up your phone and play one of our games.
