I run We Scale Startups; a growth marketing agency focused on working with early-stage, fast-growing startups looking to scale. We help them build predictable, repeatable and scaleable growth through data-driven campaigns.
Tell us about yourself?
At school, I loved coming up with businesses; it was so much fun trying to find ways to solve problems and make a bit of money.
After a while, I realised how hard it is to scale profitably, so I decided to brute force my learning by helping other companies do it. Over time I’ve developed a unique understanding of how startups grow and what to implement to achieve that.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Work hard, work smart, have fun and don’t take life too seriously.
What problem does your business solve?
We help find ways for businesses to get lots of customers, quickly and efficently.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
I wanted to learn how to help other businesses grow after selling mine and thought the best way to do that would be by doing.
What is your magic sauce?
Boring growth. We deep dive into our clients data and perform lots of customer research before launching the campaign. It’s not very flashy, but the insights help us to create highly targeted, meaningful campaigns.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
I’d love to use our experience to invest into high growth companies and perhaps start our own studio.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Probably the mental stress of all the work and responsibilities. I think it can be particularly daunting when you know millions of people will see your work and judge you for it.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
We love turning ideas into businesses and are always happy to have a conversation.
