Tell us about yourself?
With over 16+ years of experience in Digital Marketing and Web Development I have become a results-driven individual with the skills required to successfully implement cross-channel digital campaigns that generate increased brand awareness, sales and ROI.
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
I would tell myself that its essential to plan 5-10 years ahead and to ensure that I have spreadsheets or a system to track sales, income and revenue.
What problem does your business solve?
We help small, medium and large enterprise companies to increase their sales leads and revenue through utilising the most effective digital marketing chanenls and improving their websites and landing pages to maximise conversion rate potential.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
After 8 years working both for agencies and in-house I felt inspired to grow a digital marketing agency that put its staff and customers first. The problem we’re always aiming to solve is to maximise the profit for our clients whilst maintaining the maximal affordability from a direct budget and retainer perspective.
What is your magic sauce?
We differ from the competition because we are consultancy lead and we treat every client’s business and campaign as unique projects. Too many agencies don’t care about the success of their clients and apply a ‘cookie cutter’ approach. Ours is a more consultancy lead approach that tailors their budgets to their individual needs.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
Our plan for the next 5 years is to double our turnover and client base in order to get the company in a position where its worth has increased so that we will be attractive to future investors. In addition we want to buy our own premises from which to be based so that the team can enjoy having their own personal ‘Odyssey New Media’ offices.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
The biggest challenge has been growing our team through 2020-21 when Covid and lockdowns were present.
It was a low-confidence period in business so this hindered our growth somewhat but we’re proud that we didn’t have to resort to any furloughing of staff during this period thanks to our unique approach in handling clients and our diverse client base of small, medium and larger clients.
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
We would like more eCommerce sellers to speak to us, especially those involved with advertising on Google Shopping, Bing Shopping and those already on, or looking to advertise on Amazon. We have a wealth of knowledge with some of our eCommerce clients achieving 20-30 times revenue ROI on their budgetary investments every month.
